Additional Partner Adventures

Each of these trips is an “add-on” at an additional cost to your reservation with the Center & Lodge and is dependent on the availability of aircraft, weather and the number of people who want to participate.

Larsen Bay LodgeGuests take a quick plane ride from Camp Island to the nearby village of Larsen Bay to enjoy an epic saltwater fishing experience. The catch is plentiful: halibut, king salmon, silver salmon, sea bass, lingcod and more!   Enjoy this incredible Alaskan adventure for only $800 per person (price based on a four-person minimum).

Guests may elect to expand their Alaska bear viewing experience by taking a day trip from Camp Island to the Alaska Peninsula. Our skilled pilots from Island Air transports visitors across Shelikof Strait to Katmai National Park where one can spend hours watching bears, enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness, and experience the beauty of glaciers, volcanoes and rugged seacoast. Guests may also see moose, wolves, caribou and several species of whales.

Please call 907-481-4140 for availability and rate.

Another “add on” trip is a quick 10- minute flight to the Frazer Fish Pass. This is a fish ladder and research station for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. You will land on Frazer Lake and a guide will walk with you on a tractor trail about a half mile to the site where you’ll get a brief tour of the operation.

Bears congregate in front of the fish ladder/weir in hopes of making an easy catch, and there is a bear viewing pad nearby to watch and photograph them. The amount of time you spend here is dependent on how active the bears are.

Please call 907-481-4140 for rates and availability.
